Massage

Hi! I'm Margaret.

 

 

 

 

As a licensed massage therapist, I'm trained in both Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques. Swedish massage aids in circulation, relaxation, stress reduction, and healing of the body as a whole system. Deep Tissue techniques are more focused and use pressure to open and release a particular muscle and the surrounding connective tissue, relieving pain and chronic tension.

 

I have additional training in Myofascial Release Technique, which uses subtle touch to access the fascia, a type of connective tissue that lies between skin and muscle. Releasing the fascia from long-standing tension patterns can create ease and freedom in the body when there is chronic pain due to posture or other long-term issues.

What to expect

 

 

 

 

 

We will talk briefly before the session about what your needs and goals are. I will listen to you and check in periodically about pressure and comfort.  This is your time to be completely at ease in your body. You're always welcome to ask questions or request that I do something different during a session.

 

Before our first session, you'll be asked to fill out and sign an intake form as well as sign a policy statement agreement.
